the remote support geek story (SO FAR...)

Its really pretty simple.  One day,  as we were sitting around with our friends and family - the phone rang, it was a friend of Elizabeth's (more on her later) who lived about 2,000 miles away who needed some SERIOUS computer help.  Once I got on the phone with her (I'm Craig - more on me later, too) and after a whole lot of hassle, reboots, back and forth conversation, miscommunication, and general chaos, I finally managed to get her problem resolved.  After that, we sat down and wondered how many other people were in that position?  "How many people out there need computer help and just can't get to or don't WANT TO take it somewhere?" - So, after some more brainstorming, idea tossing, LOTS of iced coffee (Thanks, Elizabeth!), and a bunch of test runs, Remote Support Geek was born!

THE PEOPLE YOU'LL BE TALKING TO!

Craig - President and Lead Geek

Surrounded by technology since the age of 4, Craig has always taken a liking to things that plug into the wall.  Building networks in his childhood bedroom was commonplace for him.  Having more than 15+ years professional experience with networks, The Internet, Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh, Security, Troubleshooting, and all around technological craziness, Craig has seen a lot.  No problem is too complex or too twisted for him to tackle - in fact, the weirder, the better.  Its a challenge for him - and that drive is what fuels his passion for this business.  He's always happy to work with a customer until the problem's fixed. Always smiling and rarely frustated, his 'zen like' demeanor can be catchy.  Careful!

Elizabeth - Vice-President and Lead Everything Else

When Elizabeth isn't working with a customer to ensure a smooth, friendly experience or booking  appointments, she's constantly working on new ideas to help the business grow in an environmentally  friendly way.  Liz's ideas have led to amazing business growth and prosperity and her energy is beyond  reproach.   She's also an amazing motivator and great office presence, Elizabeth (Liz) keeps a level  head even amidst some of our craziest of days.  Craig says she's also perfect, but he's a bit biased.

Charles - The Idea Man!

While it might not be a formal corporate-type title, it describes him to a 'T' .  Charles  (Chuck) is always  working on ways for us to grow the business.  Some of them  traditional, some of them, not so much -  but that doesn't matter - its his creativity  and passion that separate him from the rest.  He also keeps  us laughing - and come  on, who doesn't like to laugh?

Billy - Senior Tech and Fashionista

Lets face it, we can all use a bit more fashion in our lives - we can all use a bit more  Billy.  A solid tech  with 10+ years of experience in the various Microsoft platforms  and general network troubleshooting,  Billy's also one to know what to wear and  when to wear it.  A geek, first and foremost, but a stylish  one - watch out, ladies!  Billy keeps up to date on the latest trends in computer security, too - and its  that  reason why he's a valued (and well dressed) member of our team!

Tom - Senior Tech and Deep Water Man

Technology and deep sea diving - yeah, we thought it was an odd combo, too - but  this guy's got them  both down pat without a second thought.  When Tom isn't out on the boat, he's probably throwing your  computer a liferaft.  When Tom's not solving a customer's complex problem or researching the next  great innovation in technology,  we can only hope he's out catching the main dish for our next  cookout, and we  wouldn't have it any other way.

Stephanie - Den Mother

So you've got a bunch of geeky tech people in a room - A conversation between  them can last for  hours.  Discussions on everything from Star Wars vs. Star Trek to  what the best method really is to  perform a full system restore.  That's where  Stephanie comes in - she gets the group focused back on  the problem(s) at hand.  She  also provides emergency phone and email coverage, which can be pretty  hectic.  We're appreciative and hope you are, too :)
